“Beansprout Chicken Rice”, been years is a kind of our northern nation Ipoh’s re-known local chinese delicacy eatery most wanted by the visitors from around the world. And nearly a decade favourite by the locals, being practised widely throughout the state that can be found easily everywhere in town. The Melaka originated Mr. Edward Lee Chong Kia (born 1984), together with his wife Ms. Angela Lim Seiok Koon (born in Ipoh) both were the initial founders and also the recent immediate owners of this best recognised beansprout chicken rice shop “Sam Ma Chicken Rice” in Ipoh town introducing their delicious home recipe menus to the locals and visitors in manner under a roof.

Edward Lee who at his age of only 34 years old currently, who wishing to expose into enterpreneurship added with his interest in eatery, also holding the chicken rice recipes passed onto from a “master” made him together with wife Angela Lim began their journey to step into the f&b industry in year 2004 running their food stall “Teo Chew Chicken Rice” in Melaka experienced & stayed in the field for more than 10 years exposure in the career.

With vision to have their very own eating house, also foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry and all the while realised that “Beansprout Chicken Rice” being years among the Ipoh’s first chinese delicacy eatery allowed the couple Edward and Angela decided to enter the market then successfully established their very first & owned restaurant named “Sam Ma Chicken Rice” at Taman Ipoh Selatan, Perak in year 2017 not only presenting their home recipe beansprout chicken rice, but also other signature menus to the locals. Finally being recognised as among the best chicken rice shop year 2018.

In this Sam Ma Chicken Rice, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus surely will be their famous “Boiled Chicken” or locally known ‘White Steamed Chicken’ most wanted by their regular customers. Local feeded chicken with weight of about 2kg selected, boil-cooked half an hour in their home soup base, served in fine cutted pieces with poured onto their in-house 5 ingredients mixture sauce (soy sauce) brings wonderful exotic salted & sweet taste you must try.  Especially the chicken meat’s bites texture itself and smoothness into mouth you neither found better nearby.
