Madam Lee Kwan Moi, also commonly known Sister Moi, who at her age of 72 years old currently, all the while having great interest in eatery & culinary/chefing initially stepped into the f&b industry in year 1978 at her 32nd of age started her very homemade recipe on Mee Hoon Kueh shared her husband’s foodstall in a kopitiam (Chinese Coffee Shop) in Kuantan oldtown stayed more than 20 years there. Also having great positive response from the locals all the while.

With the vision to have her very owned noodle house, added with the experiences & good response from the public and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry. Later in millenium year 2000 together with her son Choong Yuen, who is a Western Chef being exposed previously in Singapore, successfully established their very first and owned noodle house officially named “Restoran Y&L” along Jalan Haji Abdul Aziz, Kuantan where 2nd generation (Lee Choong Yuen) fully stepped into the family’s career here. Finally being recognised among the best recognised Mee Hoon Kueh eating place in year 2018 by F&B E-Media in town.

In this Y&L noodle house, the founder Sister Moi’s very first top recommended in menus surely will be her homemade 40 years history eatery “Authentic Mee Hoon Kueh” or known hand-torn Pan Mee most wanted by the locals. Noodles homemade in-house from hand-rubbed flour (mixtures of wheat flour, egg, salt & water), followed by hand-torn in irregular shape, then boil-cooked in their 3 hours boiled ikan bilis soup base, mixed into homemade minced pork ball, meat ball, fish ball, veges, pork liver, chicken egg & mushroom slices, finally served topped onto crispy deep fried ikan bilis and fried onions will brings an excellent authentic hot bowl of their Y&L Authentic Mee Hoon Kueh that you must try when reached Kuantan, Pahang. Fine-round noodles or locally known Yiu Mee also homemade from the hand-rubbed flour boil-cooked, then mixed with their home recipe soya sauce mixtures, served topped with homemade pork minced, meat & fish ball, veges, mushroom slices, crispy ikan bilis etc, and sided with a bowl of their hot soup base brings another wonderful noodles eatery that you will never regret after tasted here.
