The owner Denny Long (3rd generation), who was formerly an Electro Mechanical Engineer, at his age of 38 years old currently, since kids been touched the f&b industry helping families whose his grandmother late Madam Kok Lin Neo (1st generation) running her very simple satay stall in a chinese coffee shop (kopitiam) at Pokok Mangga, Malacca in the late 1970s. Later-on being generation passed onto Denny’s mother Madam Lai Nyok Faa (2nd generation, born 1953) running her satay stall at Tanjung, Malacca in year 1980s, then moved into a foodcourt along Jalan Gajah Berang and finally stayed more than 10 years in the foodcourt at Bandar Hilir itself named it “Bertam UluSatay” still on-going by Denny’s sister today as the 3rd generation.

With the vision to further his family’s 3-generations home recipe, added with the experiences & recipes on-hand and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry locally enabled Denny Long in year 2010 decided (with wife Weh Chen) then began their very beginning roadside satay stall in-front of kopitiam along Cheng, Malacca for about 4 years. Afterwards being successfully exposed into their very first owned satay house officially named it the “Bertam Satay” in year 2015 at Taman Paya Rumput continue their exposure in the field insisting on their family’s 3-generations satay recipes. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for the year 2019 in the middle southern.
