In the year 1970s, Alan’s uncles the Koh brothers (mother’s elder brothers) who began their very home-cooked laksa eatery at the Tampoi market, where mother Mary Koh since young touched the career helping brothers in their noodle stall. Then running her very own Tampoi Laksa foodstall at Kulai, Johor since year 1997 (still on-going) enabled Alan to touch the f&b field at his 9th of age helping mother in the stall. Later-on began his 2nd generation Tampoi Laksa foodstall in a chinese coffee shop at Taman Nusa Bestari in year 2006 at his 18th.

In order to further his exposure in the career, added wishing to continue his family’s home recipes and experiences & home recipes on-hand allowed Alan Ng in year 2013 again running his Tampoi Laksa foodstall in a foodcourt at Kulai, Johor for nearly 3 years. Then successfully extended into a restaurant in the year 2016 officially named it the “Father And Son” (Tampoi Laksa) along Jalan Sultanah, Kulai township continue serving his family’s home recipes to the market, attached with his mobile coffee van which also the attraction in the eating house recently. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for the year 2020 in the southern nation.

In this Father And Son restaurant, the owner’s very first top recommended in menus surely will be their family’s 2-generations authentic “Tampoi Laksa” which most wanted by their regulars.
