Madam Teoh (Phei Keat’s mother), who since teenage helping father in running their family’s TeoChew Porridge food stall along Bakar Arang at Sungai Petani in the year early 1980s all the while experienced in the f&b industry. Later-on been touched the fish head porridge together with her husband Mr. Choong Eng Hong began their fish head porridge food stall in the late 1980s all the while along Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani on their homemade recipes with named “Eng Ge Fish Head Porridge”, still running recently at Pekan Baru Sungai Petani. Then being exposed into their 1st eating house by son Phei Keat with couple Ivy Khoo in the year 2020 officially named the “Choong Restaurant” (Eng Ge Fish Head Porridge) along Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani continue their exposure in the field as 2nd generation.

In this Choong Restaurant, the owners’ very first top recommended in menus surely will be their family’s famous “Fish Head Porridge” which most wanted by the locals all the while.
