The initial founder cum first owner Goh Shu Yue, who at his age of 42 years old currently all the while having interest in eatery & culinary been graduates from two local’s Culinary Academy spent about 4 years experienced in the f&b industry began from age of 19th. Then fully stepped into the Japanese Cuisine field in Penang exposed in the career, later-on being positioned as a Japanese Cuisine Chef at his about 25th of age and returned to hometown Alor Setar continued his exposure in the industry with patients.

With experiences & recipes on-hand, added with vision to have his own eating house locally and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry especially in the Japanese Cuisine field enabled Shu Yue (Chef Goh) decided then successfully established his very first owned  Japanese Restaurant officially named the “Kaede Restaurant” in the year 2003 running few years in the Sentosa Plaza (Alor Setar), then extended & moved into better manner environment eating place along the Jalan Sultan Badlishah (current location) in the year 2005 continue his journey in the career fully assisted by wife Shing Pei and parents introducing their home recipes to the market. Finally being recognised among the best in town by the F&B E-Media for the year 2021 in the upper northern nation.

In this Kaede Japanese Restaurant, the owner’s very first top recommended in menus will be their signature set meal of “Salmon Steak” which most wanted by their regulars. Imported Salmon slice prepared after about 6 minutes pan-grilled, then serve-poured onto with their homemade Japanese mustard sweet sauce paste on hot plate and finally sided with a bowl of their home-boiled hot Japanese pearl white rice, miso soup, vege salad & fruits of the day will brings a wonderful set combination of the Salmon eatery that you must have a try when reached Alor Setar, Kedah.
