‘Kueh Tiaw Kia’ a chinese Teo Chew pronouns meaning herbal soup rice noodles been years taken mostly by Teo Chew religious but nowadays become one of the exotic food taken by most of chinese locals and visitors in South Malaysia.

The founder, also the first generation of the local famous “Cempaka Kueh Tiaw Kia Eating House” began with no-name food stall in old town Jalan Meldrum, Johor Bahru the China originated Mr. Teo Chia Hak (1922-1996) who with wife reached Malaysia based in Johor in year 1930s, then running their home recipe kueh tiaw kia in 1950s serving very historical traditional teo chew herbal rice noodle mixed.

While the second generation who is local origin Mr. Teo Yong Hock (Wincent’s father) born in year 1951 touched the food industry since kids helping parents in their roadside food stall been generation passed on to take over the family career initialy stepped into the profession in year 1987 at his age of 36 years old.  Later on moved to Taman Cempaka, Johor Bahru to further expose continued running their home recipe kueh tiaw kia with more choices with his lovely wife Madam Chan Kwai Kum who born in year 1958.

The recent owner cum 3rd generation Mr. Wincent Teo Zhian Ping (Ah Fook) who born locally in year 1982, also an Information Technology graduates touched the f&b industry since kids during school off helping parents in their stall reached year 2004 stepped into and take over the family career at his age of 22 years old, named it formally “Cempaka Kueh Tiaw Kia Eating House” or Ah Fook Kueh Tiaw Kia.  Subsequent to the great response from the market, Wincent Teo successfully established their very first and owned specialize shop into Taman Anggerik, Johor Bahru in the year 2006 being assisting by parents and younger sister Ms. Teo Zhian Ling who with her age of 27 years old recently.
