The thousand years Chinese traditional “Charcoal Roasted” been nowadays still practice by locals, famously taken by most of the other visitors and religious around the world.  The local Johor origin Mr. Lee Yin Hock who born in Batu Pahat in year 1947 was the founder and immediate owner of the “Seaside Roasted Meat Restaurant” who with more than 30 years experience in traditional charcoal roasted career, being assisting by two sons in Johor serving the public.

Mr. Lee who with his age of 67 years old recently, initially stepped into the food and beverage industry since 1970s established and operating a chinese cuisine restaurant in Batu Pahat named “Champaign Restaurant” for about four years then quit the industry.  Later on he reached Singapore joined the Shipping and Transportation Industry for another more than ten years before returned to home country in early 1980s.

Still with the interest in eatery and wishing to re-stepped into the f&b industry enabled him to again established his career by running a food stall in the food court at Jalan Shahbandar, Batu Pahat in year 1982 began his roasted meat industry from home recipe named “Ye Le Yuan Roasted Stall”(pronouns), being operating for another 30 years untill 2012.

While his wife Madam Yap Kew Lian who formerly a Nurse, who also born locally in year 1958 joined husband stepped into the industry in 1990s helping in the food stall which was growing.  The elder son Lee Teck Lim who with age of 27 years old recently joined father since year 2008 at age of 21 years old further exposed their roasted food stall, while younger son Lee Teck Siang who born 1990, stepped into f&b industry since 2011.  Subsequent to the great response from the public and having assisted by family members, Lee Yin Hock successfully moved and expanded his roasted career into shoplot also along Jalan Shahbandar, Batu Pahat in year 2012 renamed to recent “Seaside Roasted Meat Restaurant”.

In this roasted specialized shop, the very top recommended by founder will be their Signature Charcoal Roasted Pork or locally known ‘char siew’ which using semi-fat pork belly marinated with their 5 secret home recipe ingredients then charcoal roasted for about three hours brings the best eatery in town you must try when reached Batu Pahat, Johor.  Especially the meat texture itself, and the juicy taste when bites into mouth.

Secondly will be their Traditional Charcoal Roasted Pork Belly which made from 3 home recipe ingredients then charcoal roasted for about 3 hours too, presenting the crispy skin level also one of the most wanted by their regulars and visitors.  Others, their Roasted Chicken also a signature in menu.  According to founder, using chicken weight of around 1.7kg to 1.8kg charcoal roasted without deep fried can brings the natural roasted chicken exotic taste and maintain the meat texture when taken.

Moreover, a very traditional Chinese Roasted Sausage also the recommended signature can be found in this restaurant which seldom served by mostly local roasted house nowadays.  Using pork intestine insided with fresh pork minced with home recipe then charcoal roasted for nearly to 5 hours, you cannot missed when stepped into the “Seaside Roasted Meat Restaurant”.

Nonetheless, Steamed Soup also famously taken by regulars which served in 8 options daily such as bittergourd with pork ribs and veges with pork ribs all steamed from raw to cooked for about 90 minutes to brings the best eatery and maintaining the natural minerals in the soup, you never regret after taken.
