“Beansprout Chicken” been years famously known by around the world is one of the Malaysian Chinese authentic delicacy eatery especially originated from the North Malaysia in Ipoh, Perak.  But here in Borneo or East Malaysia at Sarawak we found and being recognised one of the local famous and recommended Alek Beansprout Chicken Rice in “Q.Z. CAFE” carried in the Kuching town area.

The Sarawakian Mr. Alex Ngui Chong Siang who born in year 1976 was the founder, together with Mr. Gerald Lee Chee Haw (born 1985) both are the recent owners of the “Q.Z. Cafe” Alek Boneless Chicken Rice introducing their home recipe beansprout chicken and signature eateries to the public at Ang Cheng Ho, Kuching.  Being assisted by Alex’s wife Ms. Then Pei Szu (born 1984), having great response from the market.

Alex Ngui Chong Siang who at his age of 39 years old currently who from Miri, Sarawak initially stepped into the f&b industry in hometown at his age of 16th recruited himself into the “Kopitiam” began as helper cum kitchen trainee spent 3 years there before reached Brunei to continue his exposure in the career as chef stayed a year there.  Later on running his very first owned food stall in Kuching, Sarawak selling Pan Mee but ended shortly, and reached Singapore to further expose.

While in year 2007, Alex Ngui returned to Sarawak established his very owned chicken rice career along Jalan Ang Cheng Ho, Kuching named “Alek Boneless Chicken Rice” where his wife Pei Szu stepped into the industry helping husband Alex in the restaurant untill 2012 due to circumstances made them moved to Kuantan, Pahang to continue their career in only a year.  Then again returned to Sekama, Kuching in 2013.

Gerald Lee Chee Haw who only at his 30 of age recently, been stepped into the industry since 2012 running his coffee shop in Kuching finally decided to bodied-up with Alex Ngui in 2014 running their beansprout chicken rice in a corner whole shoplot at Ang Cheng Ho, Kuching in “Q.Z. Cafe” with the famous “Alex Boneless Chicken Rice” serving the locals and visitors in manner.

According to the founder Alex, their first top recommended among menus in the restaurant surely will be their Boiled Chicken serve with Beansprout.  Local feeded chicken with weight of about 1.9kg selected, boiled an hour in their chicken bones soup base, prepared in cutted boneless then served poured onto homemade soy sauce from 12 recipes mixture and with beansprout (or also cucumber slices on client’s demand) brings really authentic delicious beansprout chicken rice you must try when reached Kuching, Sarawak.

Secondly will be their Roasted Chicken, which among the restaurant’s top seller most wanted recently by the regulars.  Chicken roast for half an hour after marinated in spices, followed by 15 minutes deep fried, served boneless cutted pieces and poured onto in-house soy sauce mixture, also with beansprout bottomed you cannot aside in “Q.Z. Cafe”.

Another will be their Deep Fried Chicken with Recipe Flour, which served in 3 options eateries.  Salad Fried Chicken is among the recommended, which served topped with homemade salad sauce onto flour-fried chicken.  Also their Thai Sauce Chicken which brings sweet, sour & spicy taste likes by the locals on home recipe.  And for those who want to taste the original deep flour-fried chicken recipe can taken sided with plate of chicken-oil boiled rice you will never found elsewhere other than “Alek Chicken Rice”.

Moreover, they also serving Homemade Yong Tau Fu which insided with marinated recipes chicken meat shredded into beancurd, and served in stewed sauce brings exotic taste you will like it.  Also their half an hour Stewed Chicken Egg from 10 ingredients mixture taken as side order you should try.

Nonetheless, among the locals Sarawakian’s favourite taken with chicken rice, the founder Alex took the opportunity to introduce their homemade spicy sauce or locally known “Belacan” is the “Must” when taken their chicken rice you cannot missed when stepped into this “Q.Z. Cafe’s Alek Boneless Chicken Rice” at Kuching, Sarawak.
