“Kueh Teow Soup” been years frequently taken and favourites by our locals, and can be found everywhere in the nation on respective recipes.  But recently here in the south, Johor Bahru we found and successfully recognised the recommended “Fresh Fish Meat Kueh Teow Soup” specialist name “Long Jee” introduced by Chef Michael into the market since year 2008.

The Pahang originated Mr. Michael Tan Moon Leong who born in year 1976 was the initial founder, together with wife Ms. Wong Mei Ping (born 1983) both are the immediate owners of the recognised “Kedai Makanan & Minuman Long Jee” noodle house in Johor Bahru serving most of their home recipe fish, seafood and pork mix noodles soup to the locals and visitors under a roof into their 8th years.

Michael Tan or known Chef Michael who at his 40th of age currently, initially touched the f&b industry since year 1992 at his 16 years old began as helper in chinese cuisine restaurant, then stepped into the kitchen as trainee from 19 years old at Kuala Lumpur before reached Johor Bahru.

While in year 1998, Michael stepped into Singapore continued his chefing career further exposed in the chinese cuisine field spent about 10 years there.  Suqsequent to his lost of ability after committed in an accident made him forced to quit the job and returned to home country, based at Johor Bahru in year 2007.  With his wife Mei Ping’s encouragement, wishing to re-step the f&b industry and continue to expose in the career, added forseen the market opportunity allowed them to established their very first and owned noodle house named “Kedai Makanan & Minuman Long Jee” at Permas Jaya, Johor in year 2008 where assisted by wife.

In this “Long Jee” restaurant, the founder’s first top recommended in menus surely will be their signature Fresh Fish Meat Kueh Teow Soup.  Soup base boiled few hours with pork bones, cooked mixed into flat rice noodles (kueh teow), served tops with fresh grouper fish meat slices brings fantastic fish freshness and tasty eatery you must try.  Other than fresh fish meats, options such seafood or pork mix also can be served topped onto their kueh teow soup on customer’s request.

Secondly will be Chef Michael’s recipe, the Spicy Prawn Noodle which unlike with Hokkien and Penang’s prawn mee.  In-house boiled soup base used added into homemade sambal which made from 6 ingredients mixture, then served topped with fresh prawn, fish cake, pork slice and beansprouts brings another excellent spicy tatse you cannot aside.  Also the favourites by those who likes spicy, among the restaurant’s top seller selection which brings 70% prawn freshness taste into mouth according to Michael, the owner.

Another will be their Teoh Chew Porridge, which favourites by their regulars.  Using same in-house prepared soup base boiled, cooked mixed into cooked white rice and served either topped with fresh fish meats or other options like seafood and porks will be on request which you will never regret after tasted here.

 

Nonetheless, the couple owners also taken the opportunity to introduce their home recipe Signature Sweet, Sour & Spicy Noodles which neither found elsewhere in town.  Home soup base mixed into Michael’s recipes with 6 ingredients combination brings exotic appertising sweet, sour & slight spicy taste you cannot missed when stepped into this “Kedai Makanan & Minuman Long Jee” at Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru.
