The Penang originated Mr. Ooi Sheng Khoon (born 1952), was the initial founder, together with his wife Madam Liew Yek Len (born 1964) and son Ben Ooi Kwan Yih (born 1994) are the owners of this recommended “Michu Restaurant” noodle house introducing all their homemade Penang’s local delicacies menu such Curry Mee, Prawn Mee, Loh Mee, Chee Cheong Fun and others to the public under a roof, being recognised the best in year 2018.

Ooi Sheng Khoon, who at his age of 66th currently, been all the while in Food Industry since his 20th in 1972. With his great interest in eatery & chefing, experiences hold in the field and foreseen the market opportunity in f&b industry made him began his very first “Xing Ding Chicken Rice” shop at Klang, Selangor in year 2006 for about a year, then in year 2007 running his “Roasted Pork King” eating house at Sri Hartamas.

While in year 2008, Sheng Khoon wanted & wished to expose his hometown Penang’s delicacies recipe into the capital city allowed him to start his very first noodle stall serving most of the Penang’s authentic noodles like curry mee, prawn mee etc spent his 8 years in the career running several noodle stalls within Kuala Lumpur & Selangor. Later-on in year 2016 successfully established his very owned noodle house named “Michu Restaurant” at Subang Jaya SS19 presenting his homemade traditional Penang Curry Mee and other signature noodles selection in manner.


In this Michu noodle house, the founder’s first top recommended in menus will be their best recognised authentic “Penang Curry Mee” which still presenting in traditional way. Home 5-hours prepared curry paste with more than 10 ingredients mixture boiled with soup base added into slight coconut milk, cooked with noodles selection on customer’s request, then served topped with fresh cockles, shrimp, cuttlefish, pig’s blood cube, long bean and dried beancurd brings a complete bowl of Penang’s Traditional Authentic Curry Mee that you must try. Especially the exotic sweet & slight spicy taste when curry soup swallowed into mouth, the best in town.

Secondly will be their “Signature Pork Mix Noodles”, which among the city’s famous eatery favourite by the locals. Home soup base boiled overnight with pork bones, cooked with recommended kueh teow, mixed into pork lean meats, minced meat, livers, intestines, meat ball & veges, then finally served topped with homemade deep fried garlic shredded and deep fried pork lard brings the best pork’s freshness & sweet taste you will never regret after tasted.

Another will be their “Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee”, which among the noodle house’s daily top seller favourite by their regulars. In-house soup base boiled mixed into huge quantity of fresh prawn shells for hours, then served with noodles sided with shrimp, pork slices, boiled egg, kangkong & beansprout and topped of deep fried onions brings excellent fresh sweet prawn taste you cannot aside.

Nonetheless, the owner Mr. Ooi also strongly introduced their Hainanese traditional authentic “Penang Loh Mee” which different from the others in market here. Home recipe gravy sauce overnight prepared in combination of herbals mixture, 5-spices ingredient & their secret recipes, served poured onto the cooked noodles, then served with pork skins, pork slices, pig’s ear etc, also sided with stewed chicken egg and finally taken mixed with in-house deep fried onions, chilli sauce & garlic vinegar paste brings exotic sweet & sour taste that you cannot missed when stepped into this Penang’s delicacy noodle house “Michu Restaurant” at Subang Jaya, Selangor.
