“Hakka Beef Noodles”, which been years being served topped with homemade minced meat all the while favourite by the public, but recently not frequently practised in market. Here in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, we found the 70 years history Hakka Beef Noodle specialist “Soong Kee” carried by Siew family into 3rd generation, and successfully recognised as the best in town year 2018.

The local originated late Mr. Siew Koy Soong (1927-2012), who was the initial founder of this more than half decade recommended hakka beef noodles “Soong Kee”, began his hawker noodle stall along Cross Street at Kuala Lumpur in year 1945 introducing his very homemade Hakka Beef Noodles recipe. Being assited by his two sons Mr. Siew Wei Hoe (born 1955) and Mr. Siew Wei Hann (born 1957), as 2nd generation who touched the career since kids helping father in the stall.

While in year 1980s, Wei Hann have took up the responsibility to continue father’s recipe & running the noodle stall in Kuala Lumpur still operating recently. His elder brother Wei Hoe, who with vision to expose further their family’s career, also foreseen the market opportunity in f&b industry made him successfully established his very owned noodle house at SS2, Petaling Jaya in year 2014 then fully stepped into the industry.

In order to further his exposure in the field, Wei Hoe later-on bodied-up with his  daughter Siew Lee Min (born 1985), partner Teh Wee Sheng (born 1995) and Chan Ches Ter (born 1996) began their “Restoran Soong Kee” eating house at Bandar Sunway in year  2017 presenting their authentic 70 years home recipe Hakka Beef Noodles and other signature menus to the public in manner.

In this “Soong Kee”, the owner’s first top recommended in menus surely will be their more than half decade 3-generation “Hakka Traditional Beef Noodles”. Fresh beef minced meat prepared in 40 minutes fried with huge quantity of garlic shredded, fish gravy added with more than 10 ingredients recipe mixture, mixed with pork minced then served topped onto noodles, and finally sided with a bowl of their an hour boiled beef soup insided with homemade beef meat balls and fresh boiled beef slices brings a complete set of their “Soong Kee Hakka Beef Noodles” that you must try.

Secondly will be their “Curry Noodles”, which among the restaurant’s best favourite by their regulars recently. Home prepared curry paste from more than 10 spices mixture, boiled with in-house chicken soup base, then served in noodles selections from customer’s request, and topped with options of either beef, pork or chicken also to be on your choice. Brings exotic & smooth curry soup taste swallowed into mouth that you cannot aside here.


Another will be their “Signature Beef Tendon Noodles”, which also among the noodle house’s daily top seller most wanted by the visitors. Fresh beef tendon selected, braised hours with white carrot on more than 10 recipes mixture (included herbals), then served sided with either noodles or rice will be the best eatery neither found better elsewhere in town. Especially the juicy and chewing beef tendon’s texture itself in bites and the delicious herbal taste that you will never regret after tasted.


Other than beef corner, they also introduced the newly famous menu among signature, their “Boiled Chicken Rice”. Local feeded fresh chicken boil-cooked in 20 minutes, then served in fine cutted pieces, sided with cucumber slices and poured onto homemade soy sauce mixture, finally taken with a hot plate of their oil-rice you should cannot missed when stepped into this “Restoran Soong Kee” eating house at Bandar Sunway, Selangor.
