Jennifer Lee, also the restaurant’s main chef who only at her age of 35 years old currently, was previously all the while under-employed in Singapore. Then positioned as a housewife after her marriage, having great interest in eatery especially bak kut teh since kids growing up with family in hometown Klang, Selangor. Also been given the chances to approach & been passed onto traditional home recipe by a Master Chef on the authentic herbal pork soup (bak kut teh) enabled Jennifer Lee began her very simple foodstall at Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru in year 2017 serving her hometown authentic “Klang Bak Kut Teh” where she stepped into the f&b industry for the fisrt time in life.

With Jennifer’s patient in the career, added with vision to have her very own eating house and great supports from husband Wicksen Liew. And foreseeing the market opportunity in f&b industry allowed Jennifer to further her exposure in the field, then in year 2018 successfully established her very first & owned bak kut teh eating house registered on “Thern Restaurant” (Thern Klang Bak Kut Teh), brought into the market on her very newly introduced combination of bak kut teh with noodles where leading the market in the south.

In this Thern Restaurant, the founder cum chef Jennifer’s very first top recommended in menus surely will be their famous “Bak Kut Teh Noodles” which most wanted by the visitors recently. In-house bak kut teh soup base prepared in at least 3 hours with more than 5 herbals mixture and pork offal, then boiled in claypot with instant noodles (or on customer’s option), finally served topped with dried beancurd sheets, dried beancurd (tau pok), pork ribs & belly and mushrooms brings a pot of wonderful tasty herbal bak kut teh noodles soup you must try, that neither found better elsewhere in town at Johor Bahru.

Also the trotter’s bites texture itself, and the rich natural collagen from the long hour stewed that you should have a try.
