The restaurant’s founder cum owner Khiew Yean Chee, who at his age of 58 years old currently, been grown-up in a f&b family whose his father Mr. Khiew Poh Loong (born 1939) started his very own chinese eating food stall at hometown Teluk Intan in the 1950s enabled Yean Chee touched the field since kids helping father in the career. Then fully stepped into the field in the year 1983 at his 19th of age began as a kitchen trainee in his father’s chinese cuisine seafood restaurant, later-on been positioned as a Chef at his about 25th of age all the while experienced in the field with his passions.

With experiences & recipes on-hand, added with vision to continue & further his exposure in the career allowed Yean Chee (with wife Choo Hong) decided then successfully established their very owned Chinese Cuisine Seafood Restaurant officially named the “Poh Loong Restaurant S/B” in the year 1991 at Malaysia Park, Teluk Intan introducing all their signatures to the public. And being recognised among the best in town by the Malaysia F&B E-Media for the year 2022 in the middle northern nation at Perak, running with their sons Kok Foong and Kok Chin (also known Chef Khiew) who touched the field since kids helping parents in their family’s restaurant, then fully stepped into began as kitchen helper and being positioned as a Chinese Cuisine Chef at his twenties also been Sarawak to further his exposure in the field, was the Outstanding Gold Medalist in the International Smart Chef Cooking Competition 2012 and Special Gold Award in the Asian International Kitchen God Award Challenge 2015 respectively among his journey in the culinary profession.
