The founder cum owner Elaine Chi Yee Voon, who at her age of 28 years old currently, been initially stepped into the f&b industry at her only 15th of age began as a part-timer in a japanese cuisine restaurant at hometown Bukit Mertajam in the year of 2012 running on the front floor. Then brought her husband Tan Kee Siang (was formerly in the Information Technology Field) joined the industry started as a kitchen trainee in the year of 2015 where Kee Siang being inspired into the culinary career and practically experienced the field for another few years before the couple Kee Siang & Elaine Chi continued their exposure exposed for another few years in the field at Georgetown, later-on reached Selangor in the year of 2022 running their couple’s taiwanese cuisine restaurant at Damansara Uptown for nearly 2 years along their journey in the industry.
With experiences & recipes on-hand, added vision to have their very own eating house locally and foreseeing the market opportunity in the f&b industry especially in the tea/coffee eatery dining house enabled the couple Kee Siang and Elaine Chi decided then successfully established their very first couple-run Tea & Eatery House officially named the “Mi Ban Cafe” at Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan in the end of year 2024 serving all their signatures to the public.
