TASTE ONE OF THE RECOMMENDED CHINESE SEAFOOD RECIPES IN “LOONG SING” ALONG EAST COAST @ PAHANG

Talking about East Coast, especially in Pahang which famously known as “State of Durian”, also favourites with “River Fish” most wanted by visitors from around the nation.  Among those restaurants which running on respective recipes, we found and recognised one of the best recommended seafood eating house “Loong Sing” introducing their signature to the public since year 2004.

The local originated late Mr. Tong Sow Hong (1969-2014) was the initial founder, recently being continued by his lovely wife Ms. Kong Poh Poh (born 1973) from Kuala Lumpur is the immediate owner of the well known “Makanan Laut Loong Sing” seafood restaurant in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang serving most of their home recipes to the locals and visitors for more than 10 years.

The founder late Mr. Tong Sow Hong who formerly was in Vegetable Trading Industry all the while running with wife Kong Poh Poh, having great interest in eatery and foreseen the market opportunity, initially stepped into the f&b career and established their very 1st and owned restaurant at Kg. Bukit Tinggi, Bentong named “Makanan Laut Loong Sing” in year 2004 assisted by younger brother, who was a chef.

While in year 2014, the recent owner, Kong Poh Poh who at her age of 42 years old recently, been took up the responsibility to continue the career together with their Main Chef, the local originated Chef Wong Yoke Kian (born 1973) who having 30 years experiences in the chefing profession.  Also being assisted by Poh Poh’s nephews Poah Chun How (born 1985) and Poah Joan Kiat (born 1986) presenting all the best to the market and finally being recognised one of best eating place in year 2015 in Pahang.

In “Loong Sing” restaurant, the Chef’s first recommended in menus will be their Claypot River Prawn Grass Noodles.  River prawn commonly selected, boil-cooked about 10 minutes in claypot with soup base, into their 5 recipes mixture, then served poured into rice wine really brings fantastic eatery with slight spicy taste you must try.  Especially the prawn freshness brought into soup when swallowed into mouth and the river prawn meats texture itself in bites.

Secondly will be their Pork Belly with Yam which serves in Guang-Xi traditional recipe, among the signature most wanted by regulars.  Local belly pork selected, boiled half cooked then deep fried to strech the skin level, and again boil-cooked before 90 minutes steamed in thick cutted slices with yam and their homemade sauce from 7 ingredients mixture brings very authentic chinese traditional recipe eatery you cannot aside.  Not frequently found elsewhere nowadays, still served in “Loong Sing”.

Another will be their Guang-Xi Yong Tau Foo, which frequently prepared using Bentong famous local’s dried beancurd or known “Tau Pok”.  Made insided with mixtures of pork minced, fish and spring veges served boiled in soup base brings exotic taste and bites texture you will never regret after taken.  Other than dried beancurd, their yong tau foo also serves with option of eggplant, water white beancurd, dried beancurd skin and bittergourd on customer’s request.

Moreover, their Claypot Smoked Talapia also among the signature like by visitors.  Fresh local Talapia fish commonly selected, smoked 10 minutes in claypot with their in-house home sauce made from 4 recipes, then served added into slight rice wine brings salty & sweet freshness taste favourite by regulars.  This also be one of the East Coast’s delicacy cooking recipe selection practised frequently in Pahang.

Nonetheless, the owner also introduced their restaurant’s signature eatery Steamed Village Chicken.  Using  1-month home feeded village chicken with about 2kg in weight, preapred in cutted pieces then steamed for 30 minutes brings fantastic chicken fresh and bites chewing meats texture you really cannot missed when stepped into the “Makanan Laut Loong Sing” at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang.  Especially taken tipping onto their homemade ginger paste sided.
