Surely, if talking about fresh and exotic seafoods selection, the most wanted by Malaysians and even visitors from around the world when reached our country will firstly think of the land below the wind “Sabah” located in the east nation.  Here, we found and recognised one of the recommended best seafood restaurant “Hung Xing” by Daniel Chung running into the exposure in the f&b industry under a roof.

The local Sabahan Mr. Daniel Chung Sin Syn who born in year 1978, was the founder and together with his lovely wife Ms. Shirley Soon (born 1984) both are the immediate owners of the well known “Hung Xing Seafood” restaurant located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah since 2013 serving all fresh live local seafoods option to the market at reasonable price enabled all level of locals and visitors to enjoy fresh quality seafoods on their ability, being highly recommended recently in the market.

Daniel Chung, the founder, who only at his age of 38 years old currently is in Aquaculture Industry owning a farm in Beaufort, Sabah fertilising seafoods began with prawn then into grouper fish in the following, also doing supplies into the local market all the while having great interest in eatery and foreseen the market opportunity in the f&b industry allowed him to stepped into the career in 2013 successfully established his very first eating house named “Hung Xing Seafood” at Penampang, Kota Kinabalu (beside No.5 Hotel), in assisted by his 30 years experience Chef Hung (Lee Tze Hung) who been reached Hong Kong and Singapore in practical.  And running assisted by his restaurant’s manager Allan Ho in front-line bodied in a team.

Later on, in order to expose further in the industry, Daniel Chung also in year 2015 together with his elder brother Samuel Chung established another Chinese Fusion & Dim Sum eating house named “D’Palace Chinese Restaurant”.

In Hung Xing Seafood, the owner’s first recommended in menus will be their Signature Crab Soup with Ginger & Spring Onion which on Chef’s recipe.  Soup base boiled half hour with chicken stocks and bones, then cooked 5 minutes mixed into ginger shredded, spring onions, poured slight white wine and local fresh live crab brings really exotic eatery you must try, especially the authentic crab freshness taste when you swallowed into mouth.

Secondly will be their famous Tiger Prwan Platter, which among the top seller in this restaurant.  Local fresh tiger prawn selected, seconds over boiled-oil, then fried with dried chillies, soy beans and their secret recipes mixture, served topped with in-house sauce & garlic brings authentic prawn meat’s texture in bites and freshness you will never regret after tasted.

Another is their famous vege selection, the Fried Season Beans with Salted Egg which looks simple but tasty into mouth.  Fresh season beans prepared in cutted sticks, seconds over boiled-butter oil, then dry fried with salted egg yolk paste brings delicious salty taste eatery you cannot aside, most wanted by their regulars.

Moreover, the Sabah local’s delicacy Elephant Shell too among the best shell selection you must taste.  Prepared in 2 minutes steamed, topped with ginger paste, butter and chillies brings excellent freshness and exotic eatery presented in Hung Xing, and the wonderful bites texture you should experience.

Nonetheless, the founder Daniel and Chef Hung also taken the opportunity to introduce their Stewed Giant Grouper or locally known ‘Lung Tan’ fish.  Wildlife giant grouper prepared in cutted pieces, stewed 5 minutes with home sauce made from mixtures of soy beans, ginger and chilli will be the best you cannot missed when stepped into “Hung Xing Seafood” at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
