DO YOU EVER TASTE THE FLAMING “BRUCE LEE STEAMED TALAPIA”?, MUST TRY IN “FTD RESTAURANT”

There will be lots of Chinese Cuisines or Chinese Seafoods restaurants everywhere presenting all their signature menus on respective recipes.  Also if talking about “Steamed Talapia”, it is one of the local’s favourite eatery.  But in the south nation, we found and being recognised the “Bruce Lee Steamed Talapia” which brought into Johor by “FTD Restaurant” since year 2015.

The 4 local Malaysians, Mr. Lee Poh Fah (born 1959) who is Johorean, Mr. Eng Chin Seng (born 1972) from Perak, Mr. Eyau Hock Seng (born 1977) from Melacca and Mr. Goh Chee Kuang (born 1977) who originated from Kedah all were the founders and recent owners of the recommended “FTD Restaurant” chinese & seafood restaurant which under the leads by their experienced Chef Ah Soon running in Johor Bharu serving most of their home recipes selection to the locals under a roof.

Gan Chin Soon or known Chef Ah Soon (born 1974) who at his age of 42 years old currently, also the restaurant’s main chef, been stepped into the f&b industry since his age of 15 years old in year 1989 helping parents in their economic rice & teow chew porridge food stall in Kuala Lumpur where he began the career.  Then in year 1995 running his very first owned food stall in hometown Semenyih before reached Johor Bharu continued his employment as chef.

While the owners Lee Poh Fah and Eng Chin Seng who both all the while in Engineering Industry.  And Eyau Hock Seng and Goh Chee Kuang are in the Trading Industry, all having great interest in eatery and foreseen the market opportunity in the f&b industry finally in year 2015 succeesfully bodied-up with Chef Ah Soon established their “FTD Restaurant” at Mount Austin, Johor Bharu introducing all the chef’s recipes signature to the locals and visitors.

In FTD Restaurant, the founders recommended their Salted Egg Yolk Crab which among the signature.  Local meat crab selected, steam-cooked in 5 minutes, then served seconds fried with chef’s homemade salted egg yolk paste mixed into curry leaf, dried chilli and butter milk brings authentic eatery and best crab’s option you must try when reached Johor.

Secondly will be their Pumpkin Spare Ribs, which also one of the restaurant’s famous menu recently.  Fresh pork ribs marinated for about 6 hours with more than 10 ingredients mixture, prepared in deep fried then served after 15 minutes stewed in claypot insided with pumpkin cutted cubes brings the best healthy eatery in town.  Especially the spare ribs and pumpkin bites texture itself, other than the taste.

Another will be their Chef’s top recommended, also the restaurant’s famous signature “Bruce Lee Steamed Talapia” which most wanted by their regulars.  Fresh local feeded Talapia fish selected, steamed in about 7-8 minutes on size different with their secret recipe spicy home sauce mixed into flaming hot chilli and poured onto slight rice wine brings really tasty exotic spicy taste you will never regret after tasted.  Will be the lovers for those who like spicy, you cannot aside.

Moreover, their Braised Pork Trotter with Preserved Vege also among the top seller.  Pork trotter braised at least 2 hours with their more than 10 ingredients mixture & herbals, then served sided with fresh broccoli will be the perfect match you will like it.  Smooth meat’s bites texture and herbal taste into mouth neither found the same elsewhere other than in “FTD”.

Nonetheless, the Chef also introduced his “Ice” Ku Lou Yuk (Sweet & Sour Pork) which favourites by youngsters recently.  Pork cubes prepared using lean meats, marinated in recipes, followed by deep fried then seconds fried with home recipe sweet & sour sauce, finally served fully topped with ice shredded really cannot missed when stepped into this “FTD Restaurant” at Mount Austin, Johor Bharu.
