BRINGING HOME COOKED NOODLES SOUP INTO MARKET BY THE TAY’s SISTERS FOR THE 1ST TIME, BEING RECOGNISED
As commonly known by most of the south Malaysians and visitors, one of the local’s delicacy eatery mee hun kueh or known “Pan Mee” in other states is among the favourites by the public since years ago all serving in respective recipes. Here in Johor, we found to recognise the 1st time “Happy Family Noodles House” by the Tay family’s sisters introducing their home-cooked soup noodles (mee hun kueh) since year 2015.
The local Johoreans sisters Tay Gek Hua (born 1955), Tay Gek Tiang (born 1958), Tay Gek Hoong (born 1971), Tay Gek Li (born 1974) and their 2nd sister in-law Chan Mah Lee (born 1969) all were the initial founders and owners of the recommended “Happy Family Noodles House” mee hun kueh restaurant at Ulu Tiram serving most of their home recipes, having great response from the locals recently.
Tay Gek Tiang who at her age of 58, and Chan Mah Lee at her 47 currently, both who also the restaurant’s chefs all the while holding respective mee hun kueh recipes, having interest in eatery and chefing, being self-taught combined their home cooked soup noodles to present into the market trying to expose in the f&b industry.
While youngest sister Tay Gek Li who all the while in Automobile Screening & Coating Industry assisting husband in Johor Bharu, with the vision to touch the f&b industry, added with her confident on sister’s recipes and foreseen the market opportunity in year 2015 successfully bodied-up her sisters and in-law Mah Lee established their very first owned restaurant named “Happy Family Noodles House” at Taman Gaya, Johor emphasising their family’s home cooked mee hun kueh (pan mee) to the locals.
In this Happy Family, the founder’s top recommended in menus surely will be their Home Recipe Mee Hun Kueh Soup. Soup base boiled at least 3 hours with ikan bilis & their home recipes ingredient, cooked with homemade flour noodles in teared pieces, then served mixed with pork minced, abalone slice, fresh prawn, veges, deep fried ikan bilis & onions and dried beancurd stick will be their family’s home-cooked “Mee Hun Kueh” you need to try, different from the market.
